We had a very exciting last month of programming with our Earth and Community Theme. We were able to explore several local businesses and programs including; The Local Galleria, Bins and Barrels, TISA Gymnastics and the Driggs Library! We also explored sustainability options including Recycling, Composting, Organic food and picked up 20 bags of garbage at Teton High School and Middle School. We also had a visit from the Cougar Fund where we learned all about Cougar Habitats! Thank you to everyone who attended our final parent night. What a great turnout! We can't wait to get started again next year!! Registration will begin September 1st and Programming will begin September 21st. Thank you everyone for another successful year at Teton Afteschool and for sharing your wonderful kids with us!
What a fantastic couple of Months we have had! Although we had to forgo some of our "Winter Wonderland" activities we still managed to have a great time. We have also been working very hard during our academic time with Ms. Bates, Teacher Mary and Ms. Tyler. With only two months left we are hoping to cover a lot of ground. Our middle school theme this month is Career Exploration and Discovery is our theme at the elementary school. We are looking forward to some exciting field trips to the new Driggs Library and the Local Galleria. Please remember our last day of programming is April 24th. We have had such an incredible couple of months at TAS. The family Christmas party was a huge success! We are kicking off the new year with an awesome month of Winter Wonderland activities at the Middle School and our Leadership theme at the Elementary School. We have also welcomed two new staff members: Nate Meltzer is filling in for a couple of weeks as our Science Enrichment Instructor and Cynthia Tyler has taken the position of Academic Adviser at the the Middle School. October came and went so quickly. We had an amazing Month filled with team building games to get to know each other, incredible art activities, music, recreation activities, learning new skills, exploring nature and learning about harvest! We had such a great time being outside and exploring nature! We also learned a lot in our classrooms about Harvest and Who We Are. And a few from our Halloween Party!!
We had a great first week here at TAS getting to know each other, playing team building games and making really great crafts! This week at the Elementary School we worked on our group names and made finger puppets in Art. Group 1 picked Pegasus for their group name. Group 2 are the Cheetahs and Group 3 decided on the fierce name of Puppies!
